Thanks to my brilliant friend Leo Sidran who produced the track, I had the best time singing this song parody cold open for the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which aired the night following the 2022 midterm elections on 11/9/22. Apparently Stephen himself loved that “Nina was covering Nena”, which made my day.

I'm so excited to be out there playing a full schedule of live shows at venues I love and doing in-person recording sessions again.

Many more updates and all the latest media to come but for the moment, here are some fun things to share from 2021 and 2022!

> I sang on an original TikTok production for Taco Bell called Taco Bell Mexican Pizza: The Musical featuring Dolly Parton and Doja Cat. I also voiced new commercial campaigns for Mazda, Heineken, Moen, VW, Jeep, and Planet Fitness featuring William Shatner
> And had campaign renewals for Hormel, & TurboTax, and Dawn
> I did the VO narration for Nations of Water, a documentary focusing on climate change, to be released later in the year
> In my first year back to playing live shows after the worst of the pandemic, despite 22 cancellations, I played 122 shows between July 2021 and July 2022 and it gave me life!
> I was also supposed to go to my first Burning Man in 2020 to play on the Piano Bar Car and now in 2022 I finally get to do that in August!

What a #blessing to sing on four epic songs, produced by my talented friend Eric Hachikian at Soundcat Productions, featured in the second season of the hilarious hit show The Righteous Gemstones, currently airing on HBO Max.

This spot melts my heart! Beautifully directed by Marcelo Nogueira for Saigon Filmes, out of AlmapBBDO, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus rolls out their 2021 Meteor Truck with as touching a campaign as the music composed by Hilton Raw of Raw Audio. Our first collaboration, from Brooklyn to Brazil, it was a great pleasure to provide the vocals. Qué Belleza!

Dawn's introduced their new invention - Dish Spray! Basically, we've been cleaning our dishes wrong and we should have been spraying them all along. "Just spray, wipe, and rinse!" serves as both the instructional product tagline and the catchy hook for the spots in the radio campaign, composed by my talented friend Aaron Mirman, which (despite the challenge of pronouncing "dish spray") I very much enjoyed singing!

Always a great time working with my old friends Neil and Matt de Luca - Song/Film/TV Composers - this time on a Disco album project. The full release by Figure & Groove Music is out today, called Boogie. Love me some disco... in fact a giant disco ball light takes up about half of my studio! Here's a little medley of the four original songs I recorded in my disco-ball-lit studio.

I always jump at the opportunity to summon my sexy voice. Thanks to my friends at Quiet City Music + Sound, I got to do just that. Moen, after all, is a sexy brand! Their sleek and innovative faucets, showerheads, and accessories are both luxurious and highly water-efficient. Recording from my home studio, I provided the VO for their expansive 2021 campaign featuring three distinct products across a dozen spots. Here's one of them for the Nebia showerhead called "Thinking".

What a year. A truly challenging time for everyone. We've made it to 2021 at long last and it looks like a return to some semblance of good old FUN is on the way... soonish. :-)

After playing two shows on March 14th, 2020 - an awesome 50th Birthday party event and an electric full-house Saturday night at Bar 9 in Hells Kitchen - I haven't played live since. I'll get back to performing but in the meantime, my home studio has been my creative retreat and I've recorded all kinds of projects this year. I'm grateful for all the wonderful people I got to work with remotely and I can't wait to build on that momentum into 2021. Songs for TV and albums, as well as vocals on commercial campaigns for Volkswagen, HBO, Moen, Realtor.com, and others have kept me busy and have been a light in an otherwise tough year. I also took the time to create this brand new website with an updated logo and lots of fresh content, like these reels. Thanks for visiting and wishing everyone a HAPPY New Year!!

After singing the "Think it up. Make it up. Pep it up!" tagline for Hormel Pepperoni's 2019 campaign, they've relaunched with a new batch of 2020 'pepisodes' and this year I added a VO of their slogan "America's #1 Pepperoni Brand". Jazzily scored by Storefront Music, these lively animated TV spots out of BBDO are a joyful homage to a topping that goes beyond pizza. In "Cheerleaders" below, the pepperonis come to life as Pom-Poms!

Earlier this month, Adam Schlesinger died at 52 due to complications with Covid-19. It was devastating for those who knew him and for so many people who were touched by his music. Adam was a kind and generous person. He was also a brilliant musical mind and a prolific Grammy and Emmy winning songwriter. I had the distinct honor of getting to work with him, along with his production partner Steven Gold, on dozens of songs over the past several years and it was truly a gift. He had an incomparable ability to write uniquely clever compositions, often simultaneously heartfelt and hilarious, in any genre. I loved being in the studio singing on those songs, which were always surprising and original, and each time I would feel excited for the world to hear what we were recording. The songs were for projects ranging from charity productions for Comedy Central and World Aids Day, to a new TV channel launch, to early demos for Sarah Silverman’s musical, to singing reference and backing vocals for Patti Lupone and Neil Patrick Harris, and finally to singing on about 20 songs over the 4-season run of Crazy-Ex Girlfriend for which Adam was Music Director. Normally I wouldn’t share a demo recording, but I’d like to make an exception and share one - I have such fond memories of this session singing “This Session is Going to Be Different“ from Season 3 of Crazy Ex. Adam will be sorely missed and I am so grateful I knew him.
